How often do you teach and where do you teach?
I instruct at Valley Oaks Golf Course and Visalia Country Club. Depending on the time of the year , I teach four to seven days a week.
How early or late in the day do you schedule appointments and how long do they last?
Lessons last about an hour. My appointment openings are generally in the morning hours ( I start as early as 7 am) but I will make exceptions for those that cannot make a morning appointment.
What level of golfers do you instruct?
I enjoy teaching golfers of all abilities and experience.
Do you teach children and how young can they be?
I instruct a lot of children. ( see Junior Academy) Children need to have an attention span of 45 minutes or so. That can obviously vary from one child to another.
How much do you charge?
As of September, 2025 , I charge $90 a lesson for adults and $70 for children. (18 years and younger)
Do you ever go out on the golf course?
Yes, I believe it’s important to spend time on the golf course. I especially think for short game work (putting &chipping) the golf course is the best place to work on those facets of the game.
Do you offer any kind of packages?
I offer a series of five lessons for $400.00
Do you use video?
Yes, I am a strong believer in the use of video. I do not use video for every lesson, only when I believe it will be helpful for the student.
Do you instruct competitive players?
Yes . As someone who has a competitive golf background I believe sharing my experience and knowledge can be an asset for any golfer who enjoys competition.
Do you have a specific swing philosophy?
No. Over the forty plus years of teaching I have been exposed via seminars, books or in person to many wonderful teaching professionals. I’d like to think I have cherry picked the best from them. Overall I think of myself as a fundamentalist. My goal is to communicate those fundamentals in a way that the student can absorb and apply.
